War Machine is still waiting for a trial regarding to the incident involving his ex-girlfriend Christy Mack and her friend Corey Thomas last August, but in the mean time the former UFC and Bellator fighter has had his probation revoked for a prior assault dating back to 2012.
In that prior incident War Machine had been put on probation after pleading guilty to felony attempted battery causing substantial bodily harm.
His probation required him not to leave Nevada without permission, so after being arrested in Los Angeles back in August in relation to his current charges that has led Clark County District Court Judge Valerie Adair to rule that his probation be revoked.
War Machine’s lawyer Brandon Sua has since confirmed that his client doesn’t dispute that he left Nevada without permission.
In reality it doesn’t make a difference to his current situation as he’s already in jail without the possibility of bail while awaiting his trial which begins next year.
Given that he’s facing 34 charges that include attempted murder, kidnapping, sexual assault, attempted sexual assault, battery, strangulation and coercion. If he’s found guilty then he could potentially be facing a lot longer than 4 years in prison, and indeed in the worst case scenario may spend the rest of his life in a cell.
