Stephen Thompson defeats Jake Ellenberger by KO at 4.29mins of Rd1
Kamaru Usman defeats Hayder Hassan by submission (arm triangle) at 1.19mins of Rd2
Kamaru Usman wins TUF 21 Finale for The Blackzilians after outgrappling Hassan for much of the fight before a takedown early in the second round led to an arm triangle attempt. Due to the cage Usman wasn’t able to shift over to the side to really tighten up the choke, but undeterred he squeezed hard and forced the finish regardless.
Michael Graves defeats Vicente Luque by unanimous decision (29-28 x3)
Graves looked to his grappling tonight to get the better of Luque, landing multiple takedowns during the three round encounter, though by his own admission he started to gas out in the final frame.
Jorge Masvidal defeats Cezar Ferreira by KO at 4.22mins of Rd1
Michelle Waterson defeats Angela Magana by submission (rear-naked choke) at 2.38mins of Rd3
Maximo Blanco defeats Mike De La Torre by TKO at 0.16mins of Rd1
Both men came out swinging in the main card opener and it worked out better for Blanco who staggered De La Torre badly with a straight right. The ref is in immediately calls an end to the fight even though De La Torre has grabbed a hold of Blanco’s leg and wants to continue. In hindsight the ref should have let that one run a little longer, though there’s no denying De La Torre was rocked.
