Saturday night’s UFC On FOX 16 event drew an average of 2,756,000 viewers on ‘big’ FOX.
That’s a slight improvement on previous ‘UFC On FOX’ July shows, with last year’s UFC On FOX 12: Lawler Vs Brown event having drew 2.5 million viewers for example.
This past weekend’s event offered up a bantamweight title rematch between TJ Dillashaw and Renan Barao in the main event slot and as you’d expect that provided the highest audience of the night, peaking at 3.8 million viewers (compared to 3.4 million for Lawler Vs Brown).
Other important takeaways from the show were an overall 1.7 household rating, peaking at 2.4 during the main event which made UFC On FOX 16 the most watched sports program of the day and helped FOX win the night the key demographics of males 18-49 and adults 18-49.
The preliminary card, which also aired on FOX from 6-8pm, drew a solid 1.3 million viewers and had consisted of a number of familiar faces including the likes of Tom Lawlor, Jim Miller, Danny Castillo, Ben Saunders and Bryan Caraway.
UFC On FOX 17 is next up on the channel, but that won’t take place until December 17th and as yet there’s no word on who will be fighting on the televised portion of the card.
