Dominick Cruz hosted a charity event in Hollywood earlier this week to honor legendary boxing coach Freddie Roach, and when he spotted him on the red carpet he moved in to introduce himself.
It’s not clear whether Roach knew who the UFC bantamweight champion was at first, but the two stars quickly fell into an easy conversation.
While he isn’t an MMA fan, Roach has helped coach a few UFC stars like Georges St. Pierre and Anderson Silva, and if he had a chance to watch Cruz you can’t help but think he might have an appreciation for the champion’s slick striking.
