Bellator 156 took place last night and we’ve got all the results for you below.
In the main event of the evening, Eduardo Dantas dominated Marcos Galvao over the course of five rounds to become Bellator’s new bantamweight champion.
The early rounds were somewhat competitive, but Dantas was always in control in the striking battle, and as the fight progressed he began to assert his dominance more and more. By mid-way through the third round he had succeeded in almost swelling Galvao’s right eye completely shut as he bossed the striking action.
Galvao had no quit in him, but in the championship rounds he just took a beating from Dantas, and the decisive nature of his performance was reflected in the eventual scorecards, which handed him a unanimous decision victory (50-45, 50-44, 50-43).
