Following last night’s UFC On FOX 20 event in Chicago the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.
‘Fight Of The Night’ honors on this occasion went to Fight Pass prelim between Jason Knight and Jim Alers, which saw a closely contested 15 minutes of action before Knight was awarded a split decision victory.
Felice Herrig earned one of the two ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonuses on the night after she made short work of Kailin Curran in the main card opener. Herrig was able to take down Curran early in the fight, took her back and sunk in a fight-ending rear-naked choke in less than two minutes.
Finally, Eddie Wineland scooped up the other ‘Performance Of The Night’ award after claiming his first victory in over two year. The veteran engaged in a back-and-forth battle with Frankie Saenz for much of the fight and then found floored him with a right hand mid-way through the third round. Saenz stood back up, but Wineland was all over him with further strikes, which forced the TKO stoppage.
