UFC fighters will finally get a chance to meet the promotion’s new owners, WME-IMG at a two-day ‘UFC Athlete Retreat’ in Las Vegas on May.
Along with 500+ UFC fighters and WME-IMG owners Ari Emanuel and Patrick Whitesell, the retreat will also be attended by some of the talent agencies other clients, including famous actors, musicians and sporting stars.
Some of those celebrities will be giving presentations, while others will just be on hand to answer questions the UFC fighters may have and to network with them.
In addition this will also be the fighters first chance to check out the UFC’s newly built ‘Performance Institute’, with Hall-Of-Famer Forrest Griffin set to give them a guided tour and explain the benefits it will provide for them free of charge, including access to the facilities and the ability to learn best practices in training techniques, recovery, weight-cutting, etc.
The exact schedule of events for the gathering have yet to be finalized, but the retreat will end with a concert performed by one of WME-IMG’s clients.
