GSP Continuing With Gymnastic Training Ahead Of UFC Return

Back when he was still the UFC welterweight champion a few years ago, Georges St-Pierre was known to think outside the box in his training camps by incorporating things like gymnastics, and it seems he’s sticking with that ahead of his long-awaited return to the Octagon.

In a new instagram post, GSP shows a brief clip of himself working his core strength with some taxing gymnastic exercises, while stating in typically modest fashion that, “Finally my coach Pat told me today that I slowly start to look like a gymnast… but I’m still terrible.”

It’s been well over three years since St-Pierre last fought in the cage, so anything that can help him get back to peak physical condition for his upcoming middleweight title fight with current champion Michael Bisping can only be a good thing.

At this stage there’s no indication of exactly when the fight will take place, though it’s expected to be at some stage in the second half of this year.
