Following last night’s UFC On FOX 25 event in Long Island the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.
Earning ‘Fight Of The Night’ honors was a highly competitive scrap between Lyman Good and Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos.
The two battled it out toe-to-toe for much of the 15 minute fight and it was the Brazilian fighter who was generally just managing to get the better of the skirmishes, leading to a split decision victory on the scorecards.
Meanwhile, one of two ‘Performance Of The Night’ awards was handed to Alex Oliveira, who found himself being stifled on the mat by Ryan LaFlare in the first round, but in the second he perfectly timed an uppercut as his opponent rushed in looking for a takedown and sent him face-first onto the canvas for the KO finish.
Debuting Brazilian heavyweight Junior Albini also earned a ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonus following his first round KO of Timothy Johnson, dropping him with a flurry of strikes and then finishing via ground and pound.
