A light-heavyweight fight between Glover Teixeira and Misha Cirkunoc is set to go down at UFC Fight Night 119 in in Sao Paulo, Brazil on October 28th.
The 37-year-old Teixeira took Alexander Gustafsson to the fifth round in his last fight at UFC Fight Night 109 in Sweden back in May, but was then suffered a knockout loss.
That was the second KO defeat for Teixeira in three fights, having also been stopped in just 13 seconds by Anthony Johnson the previous year, with a victory over Jared cannonier being sanddwiched inbetween times.
As for Cirkunov, he also fought on the same card in Sweden as Teixeira back in May, and everything was looking good for him at the time, coming off a four-fight winning streak in the Octagon and just having signed a new deal with the promotion.
However, it proved to be a disastrous evening for the 30-year-old, with Volkan Oezdemir taking just 28 seconds to knock him out with a punch, bringing an end to a four-year unbeaten stretch.
Teixiera Vs Cirkunov is currently the only find attached to the UFC Fight Night 119 event, which will mark only the third time the UFC’s Octagon has made it to Brazil this year.
