Saturday night’s UFC On FOX 26 event from Winnepeg, Canada was watched by an average of 2,107,000 viewers on ‘big’ FOX.
There had been concerns earlier in the week that the event could produce the lowest ratings ever for a ‘UFC On FOX’ show after the overnight figures estimated that only 1,780,000 viewers had tuned in.
However, those numbers didn’t include the welterweight main event between two former UFC champions, Rafael dos Anjos and Robbie Lawler, which overran its timeslot and ended up producing the event’s peak rating of 3,071,000 viewers.
Now the revised ‘final’ numbers are in, and though they peg UFC On FOX 26 as the fourth least watched event in the series, that was still good enough to make it the most viewed show on network TV on Saturday night for men 18-34 and 18-49 as well as overall 18-34 and 18-48, while in terms of it’s overall audience it was beaten only by NFL coverage on TV.
Earlier in the evening, the event’s prelims were watched by 456,000 viewers, while the pre-fight show was taken in by 121,000 viewers and the post-fight analysis by 115,000.
Overall, UFC On FOX 26’s ratings were fairly underwhelming, but nonetheless the four-fight main card did provide a solid night of entertainment for those who did tune in.
