Rizin FF 8 took place earlier today in Japan and you can check out all the results below.
In the main event, Kyoji Horiguchi booked his spot in the bantamweight grand-prix semi-finals with a first round finish against Gabriel Oliveira.
The former UFC fighter floored Oliveira twice in the opening minutes of the fight and then did so again to seal the TKO stoppage at the 4.30min mark.
Meanwhile, in the co-main event, Ian ‘Uncle Creepy’ McCall’s miserable luck continued when he suffered a deep cut to his forehead when his head scraped across the ring ropes while driving in for a takedown against Manel Kape in the first round.
The cut bled profusely, leading to the referee being forced to end the fight soon after, handing Kape the TKO victory and a spot in the semi-finals, where he’ll also be joined by Shintaro Ishiwatari and Takafumi Otsuka, who also won their quarter-final match-ups on today’s card.
