Former strawweight title contender Karolina Kowalkiewicz will face off against Felice Herrig at UFC 223 in Brooklyn, New York City on April 7th.
After back-to-back losses against two of the division’s best fighters in Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Claudia Gadelha, the 32-year-old Kowalkiewicz got back to winning ways last time out with a unanimous decision victory over Jodie Ezquibel at UFC Fight Night 118 back in October.
That leaves Kowalkiewicz ranked No.4 in the division and with an overall 11-2 career record heading into her next fight with the No.9 ranked Herrig.
The 33-year-old ‘Lil Bulldog’ has been enjoying the best form of her career over the past couple of years, so far racking up four victories inside the Octagon.
That includes wins over Kailin Curran, Alexa Grasso, Justine Kish and Courtney Casey, leading up to this high-profile fight against Kowalkiewicz.
Kowalkiewicz Vs Herrig joins a UFC 223 fight card that’s only just starting to be compiled, with recent rumors suggesting the UFC may be contemplating having interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson fight Khabib Nurmagomedov in the main event.
