UFC President Dana White claimed earlier this week that he’s trying to line up a fight between Nate Diaz and Georges St-Pierre at lightweight, but it seems like one of the parties isn’t overly keen on the idea.
“GSP cheated when he fought my brothers he was on steroids,” Diaz wrote on Facebook. “He was overweight and they let him because we were in Montreal and his boy gave Nick a bad iv. Now they selling u wolf tickets on me GSP you can clear that s–t up or fight yourself cheater.”
Diaz’s claims are curious given that St-Pierre was one of the most outspoken fighters in the UFC when it came to calling for tougher drug-testing to be enforced in the promotion at a time before they drafted in USADA to help enforce their anti-doping policies.
Also, since returning to the sport last year for a middleweight title fight against Michael Bisping, St-Pierre has undergone no less than 15 USADA random drug-tests and has passed all of them.
So far the Canadian star hasn’t responded to Diaz’s allegations, and he’s also stayed quiet about whether he is interested in fighting him or not, though his rival’s latest comments may provide added motivation to get back into the Octagon to settle their differences the old-fashioned way.
