Tatiana Suarez wasted no time in getting the job against Alexa Grasso at UFC Fight Night 129, locking up a submission finish early in the first round.
Round One:
Both ladies exchange early kicks upstairs. Side kicks for Suarez. Now a body kick for her. Suarez now in on a single leg takedown attempt against the cage. Grasso stuffs that though and tries to reverse the position.
Suarez with a head and arm throw to get Grasso to the mat. Grasso looking for a submission, but then gets back upright instead. Suarez works for a takedown again and lands it against the cage.
Grasso tries to stand, but Suarez keeps her down. There’s a scramble and Suarez gets to Grasso’s back and drops back working for a guillotine choke.
It’s quickly in tight and after a few desparate punches behind her, Grasso is left with no choice but to tap out.
