Following last night’s UFC Fight Night 131 event in Utica, New York the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.
On this occasion four ‘Performance Of The Night’ awards were dished out, and of course, main event winner Marlon Moraes took home one of those courtesy of a stunning 33 second head kick knockout against Jimmie Rivera – practically the first strike of the fight.
Gregor Gillespie Also scooped up a performance bonus after a dominant display of wrestling against Vinc Pichel was capped off by an arm triangle finish late in the second round.
Ben Saunders also produced one of the night’s best finishes, with a big knee from the thai clinch slamming straight into Jake Ellenberger’s liver, folding him up for a first round TKO finish.
Meanwhile, in his UFC debut, Nathaniel Wood takes home a performance bonus after he produced a second round d’arce choke submission against Johnny Eduardo.
