Max Holloway put in a masterful performance against Brian Ortega to defend his featherweight title at UFC 231 on Saturday night and with Dana White now pushing for him to move up to lightweight the Hawaiian star has indicated he’s open to superfights with the likes of Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor.
White has already indicated that Holloway could potentially move straight into a title shot at 155lbs, and ‘Blessed’ appears to have no qualms about facing the dominant champion.
“Khabib is another undefeated fighter,” Holloway said post-fight. “I got this niche, I guess. I just gave an undefeated fighter his first loss. So maybe that one might excite me the most. We were supposed to have that one. So we’ll see what happens. I don’t know. I ain’t picky. Feed me. They all can get it.”
Of course one of the few blemishes on Holloway’s record is a loss to Conor McGregor, and that’s a fight that he’d like to play back.
“As a competitor, I have three losses. So I want to get them all three back, but that’s just me. I want to fight everyone, whoever. As a competitor, I’ll fight whoever. If you tell me some guy is the best, let’s do it. Is this the best guy? I’m gonna fight you then. Put your dukes up, let’s trade blows.”
Holloway also added Tony Ferguson to the growing list of fighters he could potentially be lined up with if he does make the move up in weight.
“We’ll see what happens. That’s a fun fight. You guys watched Embedded, somebody called me Tony. We’ve got a bone to pick.”
