Following last night’s UFC Fight Night 151 event in Ontario the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.
Earning ‘Fight Of The Night’ honors was the always entertaining main event clash between Donald Cerrone and Al Iaquinta, a five round war in which ‘Raging Al’ showed incredible toughness as ‘Cowboy’ threw everything but the kitchen sink at him.
Iaquinta was dropped several times during the fight courtesy of Cerrone’s precision striking and also ate a big knee to the head in the first round, but he never stopped being a threat himself, though in the end there was no doubt that ‘Cowboy’ was the convincing winner on the scorecards.
Meanwhile, Walt Harris earned a ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonus after he made short work of Sergey Spivak, TKO’ing him in just 50 seconds with big hooks and knees to the head.
Macy Chiasson also scooped up a performance bonus after she beat up Sarah Moras on the mat to claim a second round TKO stoppage in the prelims.
