Calvin Kattar unleashed a massive elbow strike to end Jeremy Stephens night in the second round of their fight tonight at UFC 249 in Florida.
Round One:
Body kick for Stephens. Now he throws some hard punches to the guard of Kattar. Stephens pressing forward again and throws some nice straight punches and then a kick behind it.
Now Kattar throwing straight punches and a body punch. Right hand for Stephens. Kattar with a leg kick.
Nice uppercut punctuating a combo from Stephens. Now a body kick for Stephens. He lands a low kick and Kattar returns that.
Body punch for Kattar. Stephens pressing forward and lands a body punch. Both miss with hooks and then Stephens lands an inside leg kick.
Aother leg kick for Stephens. He lands a straight right and Kattar connects with a grazing hook. Right hand for Stephens.
Leg kick for both men now. Solid right hand for Stephens. Big left hook for Kattar stops Stpehens just for a second and then he comes back with a leg kick.
Punches for Kattar, but Stephens gets the leg kick again and it’s starting to have an impact. Punch gets through as well for Stephens.
Big right hand from Kattar snaps Stephens head back. Stephens does land a nice punch of his own.
Body kick for Stephens. Both men throwing hard blows to end the round.
Round Two:
Right hand for Stephens. Now a leg kick. Kattar feeling out with the jab and lands a leg kick. Again Stephens with the low kick and Kattar returning it.
Kattar with a good punch. He lands a nice leg kick too and he’s starting to even up the kick damage now.
Kattar just missing with an uppercut during an exchange. One-two for Stephens. Right hand for Stephens after a leg kick.
Body punch for Kattar. Kattar with a nice combo and then again throws a series of uppercuts and straights, finding a home for several of them.
Kattar with a low kick. Stephens with a body kick. Suddenly Kattar unleashes a huge elbow strike and Stephens sinks to the canvas, rocked. Kattar looking to seal the deal on the mat and blasts Stephens with a big elbow that cuts him open and the fight is waved off soon afterwards, resulting in the KO win for Kattar at 2.49mins of the second round.
