Kevin Holland KO’d Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza in the first round of tonight’s UFC 256 main card in Las Vegas.
Round One:
Holland with a hard right hand. Jacare goes straight into a takedown attempt and lands it in the center of the Octagon.
Holland catches Jacare in an triangle choke attempt and lands some elbows too, but Souza is able to escape and works his way back to his feet.
Against the cage Holland tries for a guillotine choke. Now he’s trying to jump up on Jacare, but as they go to the mat the choke slips off.
Holland looking to get back to his feet, but first while still sitting he lands a right hand that stuns Jacare. Holland quickly capitalizes by standing over the still kneeling Jacare and landing several more hard punches that result in a KO finish at just 1.45mins of the first round.
Amazing stuff from Holland there, somehow generating enough power to rock Jacare while basically in a seated position, taking full advantage of his tremendous reach.
That makes it five wins in a row for Holland, while the 41-year-old Jacare now has suffered three losses in a row.
