Following last night’s UFC Fight Night 185 event in Las Vegas the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.
There was no shortage of big finishes on last night’s card and so instead of including a ‘Fight Of The Night’ bonus, the UFC brass opted for four ‘Performance Of The Night’ awards instead.
Derrick Lewis is no stranger to highlight-reel finish and last night was a prime example of that as he KO’d Curtis Blaydes with a single crushing uppercut in the second round as he swooped in for a takedown attempt.
Also earning a bonus was Chris Daukaus, who wasted no time in putting Aleksei Oleinik to the sword, dazing him with a right hand early in the fight that he never had time to recover from as he continued to be blasted by big punches and knees for the TKO stoppage.
The main card opener saw Tom Aspinall continuing his impressive form, initially hurting Andrei Arlovski in the first round, but then driving into a big takedown in the second round that quickly led to him forcing the veteran to tap via a rear-naked choke.
Rounding up the bonus winners was Aiemann Zahabi, who KO’d Darko Rodriguez with an overhand right counter in the opening round.
