Tanner Boser was the more active fighter on the feet tonight against Ovince Saint Preux at UFC Fight Night 190, and after surviving a takedown in the second round he got back to striking with instant success, knocking out his opponent with a knee followed by a right hook.
Round One:
Inside leg kick for Boser. OSP misses on a head kick attempt. Boser feeling out with the jab. He lands another solid leg kick and then again for good measure.
Now a hard body kick for Boser. OSP misses with a jab. Powerful overhand right from Boser lands hard, but OSP eats it.
Front kick to the body from OSP. Kick for Boser. Another body kick for Boser. He fires off a hard hook that just whistles past OSP’s face.
Now a leg kick for Boser. Another lands. Solid straight right for Boser and then a left behind it. He wades into range again trying to throw a left hand.
Body kick again from Boser and then an inside leg kick. OSP leaning in and almost heads straight into a kick from Boser.
Not much output at all from OSP so far. He misses with a right hand. Boser with a right hand. Another overhand right from Boser gets through.
Inside leg kick from the busy Boser. Now a jab. Front kick to the body from OSP. Heavy hody kick from Boser. Now more punches flashing out from Boser.
Jab for OSP. Now a body kick. Boser lands a body kick of his own. Front kick to the body from OSP, leg kick for Boser.
Round Two:
One-two for Boser. Front kick to the body for OSP. Body punch for Boser and then a leg kick. Another body kick for Boser and then doubles up on that.
OSP attempts a takedown attempt, but Boser tries to shake it off and work from the clinch. However OSP does well to bring him to the mat.
This is better work for OSP as he moves to half guard. Boser gets back to full guard. Three minutes of the round remaining.
Boser looking to stand up and gets told off for grabbing the cage as he does so. He gets to his knees and then manages to spin around.
They go back upright and OSP tries to duck into another takedown attempt, only for Boser to land a big knee upstairs and then a right hook to the temple that floors OSP, with a left hand also connecting on the way down to help secure a big knockout finish for Boser!
