Youtube superstar turned boxer Jake Paul recently trolled Conor McGregor by getting a one-off $100,000 diamond-encrusted chain made mimicking a photo of ‘The Notorious’ looking like he was taking a nap in the midst of his TKO loss to Dustin Poirier back in January.
After watching McGregor lose again to Poirier on Saturday night at UFC 264, Paul decided to ship the chain, nicknamed ‘Sleepy Conor’ to ‘The Diamond’, along with a message of support for the star.
“Dear Dustin,” Paul wrote.
“Congrats for your much earned victory. I love what you are doing with your Good Fight Foundation!
“You deserve this chain more than me! Good always beats evil! Keep winning!
“Love Jake.
“”P.S Tell Jolie I said Hi – She’s a badass!”
Poirier gratefully received the gift, which he now plans to auction for his Good Fight Foundation charity.
Paul was actually in attendance to watch the fight at the weekend, but according to his brother Logan Paul, he went largely unnoticed due to what he was wearing.
“He came in with a bucket hat and we were surely expecting like a ‘f**k Jake Paul’ chant but no one could see him because he wore a bucket hat,” Logan said on the IMPAULSIVE podcast.
“And because of that, no attention was drawn to him and he didn’t really get to show off the chain at the event and he really get the chance to distract Conor like he wanted to.
“And I think obviously now, Jake’s plans for fighting Conor have been a little watered down because of the whole missing ankle thing.
“You got no leg. No leg, no contract.”
Before he could have even had the chance to fight McGregor, Paul would have first had to get past Tyron Woodley though, as they are currently set to fight in a boxing match on August 29th.
