Alex Oliveira and Niko Price have agreed to fight at UFC Fight Night 192 in Las Vegas on October 2nd.
The clash of welterweight veterans comes at a time when Oliveira is coming off back-to-back submission losses against Randy Brown and Shavkat Rakhmonov.
He was on a two-fight winning streak before that with decision wins against Max Griffin and Peter Sobotta last year, but it should be noted that looking through a broader lens those are the 33-year-old’s only two victories in his past seven fights in the UFC.
As for Price, his all-action kill-or-be-killed style has led to a pattern of one-win, one-loss for almost his entire 5-5 (+2nc) record, though it should be noted the two no-contests were fights that he won, but were later amended due to him testing positive for marijuana.
So this is a match-up that should provide plenty of entertainment on a UFC Fight Night 192 card that’s set to be headlined by light-heavyweights Anthony Smith and Ryan Spann, while Ion Cutelaba vs. Devin Clark and Jim Miller vs. Nikolas Motta are also set to appear on the line-up.
