A heavyweight fight between Ben Rothwell and Marcos Rogerio de Lima has been booked for UFC Fight Night 197 on November 13th.
By the time fight night arrives ‘Big’ Ben will have turned 40-years-old, but he’ll be heading into the match-up coming off a second round submission win against Chris Barnett back in May.
In fact the 52-fight veteran has actually won three of his last four fights, with his other victories coming against Stefan Struve and Ovince Saint Preux, while his only loss came by way of decision against Marcin Tybura.
Meanwhile, de Lima has been unable to string together two wins in a row since right at the very start of his UFC run back in 2014, having swapped between wins and losses ever since.
That includes wins over Maurice Green and Ben Sosoli, plus losses to Stefan Struve and Alexander Romanov in his past four Octagon outings, and as such, like Rothwell, he doesn’t currently hold a place on the official Top 15 heavyweight rankings.
Rothwell vs. de Lima joins a UFC Fight Night 197 card that’s rumored to be headlined by a featherweight bout between Max Holloway and Yair Rodriguez, while Ovince Saint Preux fights Philipe Lins and Jessica Eye goes up against Andrea Lee.
