Following last night’s UFC Fight Night 200 event in Las Vegas the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.
Earning ‘Fight of The night’ honors was a bloody battle between Julian Erosa and Steven Peterson that went the distance on the main card.
Both men gave their all in the gritty striking exchanges and had the cuts and swelling to prove it, and each had to dig deep after being dazed by big shots, but in the end it was Erosa who did enough to claim the split decision win and he goes home with a whopping $100,000 bonus due to his opponent being ineligible for his portion after missing weight.
Meanwhile, Shavkat Rakhmanov claimed one of two ‘Performance Of The Night’ awards and maintained his unbeaten record thanks to his first round finish against Carlston Harris, initially dropping him with a spinning hook kick and then landing some heavy punches on the mat to seal the knockout finish.
Chidi Njokuani also took home a performance bonus for his lightning quick knockout of Marc-Andre Barriault, putting him down with a powerful straight right and then following up with ground and pound for the finish just 16 seconds into the bout – the third quickest in UFC middleweight history.
