Jamahal Hill racked up a stunning first round knockout victory over Johnny Walker tonight in the main event of UFC Fight Night 201.
Round One:
The main event is underway in Las Vegas.
Both fighters starting cautiously. Right kick to the body from Walker. Now one to the outside of the leg. Calf kick for him. Left high kick from Hill.
Head kick attempt from Walker now. He goes into a spinning backfist and Hill looks to counter off that with punches.
Leg kick from Walker. Now a head kick attempt that’s blocked. Exchange in close and now Walker is looking to clinch up against the cage.
They break apart. Front kick to the body for Walker. Hill pressing forward now as Walker circles on the outside. Right hand flashes out from Hill.
Front kick to the body from Walker and a now a body kick.
Hill suddenly uncorks a big overhand right to the temple just as Walker was throwing a jab and there’s a delayed reaction as Walker wobbles on his feet for a moment, barely conscious, and then topples straight backwards onto the canvas.
Hill rushes in and completes a vicious KO victory with another hard right hand on the mat at 2.55mins of the first round.
Crazy highlight-reel finish there that will raise the No.12 ranked Hill’s stock to a whole new level, while Walker is in a tough position now with four losses from his last five UFC fights.
