After a night of fast finishes at UFC Fight Night: Lemos vs. Andrade, the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.
Earning ‘Fight Of The Night’ honors was a back-and-forth battle between Sergey Khandozhko and Dwight Grant, which saw both men being rocked, before Khandozhko hurt his opponent with a left hook in the second round and then went on to unleash a flurry of strikes to secure a TKO stoppage win.
Even though there were a lot of first round submission victories on the main card, Jessica Andrade was always a certainty for a ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonus due to the fact that she made history by locking in the first ever standing arm triangle finish ever in the UFC against Amanda Lemos.
Claudio Puelles also delivered a very impressive submission finish in the opening round of his fight with Clay Guida, transitioning between multiple submission attempts on the mat before swiftly switching to a kneebar that quickly forced the grizzled veteran to submit. It was the third time that Puelles has pulled off that particular submission in his five-fight UFC winning streak to date and ensured he went home with an extra $50,000 performance bonus award too.
