“Young man, young man, your arm’s too short to box with God.” – James Weldon Johnson

Poor Cat Zingano, whom after defying all terrible odds in life for a chance of 15 minutes with Ronda Rousey only lasted 14 seconds in the Octagon. “Rowdy” the “Arm Collector” added yet another arm bar win to her records. This one is special as it is the fastest title fight win in UFC history and tied for the fastest submission win in UFC history. It is brutal, but life is brutal and Zingano knows it better than most others.

It was another clear decisive win for Rousey with nothing hanging over the fight, no controversy nor debate, just a slurry of sophisticated action that had spectators stunned and the fight was over before the beginning was even properly registered in their minds. The referee said ‘Fight!’, Zingano charged at Rousey, the two connected followed by a barrage of twists and flips. An eye untrained to the art of grappling would be still struggling to understand the significance of the moves and the complex weave of arms and legs before witnessing the desperate tap out of a woman who never taps out of anything else in life.
