Cung Le:
Spending the last few years mixing his time between acting and fighting, we haven’t seen Le in the cage for quite some time now.
While his exciting striking and Sanshou grappling style make him a tough out for most middleweights. He should be facing a beyond motivated Michael Bisping in UFC Fight Night 48’s headliner this Saturday.
We’ll see if Le’s time off from the cage has adversely affected his training. He’s appeared insanely muscular and in shape to fight Bisping, but the UFC isn’t a bodybuilding contest. Their bout will tell us just how motivated the 42-year-old Le is to keep fighting at the highest levels.
Le should be willing to use his dynamic kicking game and diverse martial arts expertise to put on a show against “The Count.”
He’s never been in any grappling-centered bore fests, making him a great headliner for the UFC’s trips to Macau.
However, his time may be running out in the UFC, making his fight with Bisping a very important one. If he wins, expect him to fight on in the Octagon. If he loses, we may see Le retire for the safer money of making movies.
