Bellator 212 Results

Bellator 212 took place last night and we’ve got all the results for you below.

In the main event of the evening, Michael Chandler won the lightweight title for the third time in his career with a dominant decision victory over Brent Primus.

Chandler had lost his title to Primus due to a leg injury in the first round the last time they met in 2017, but this time the fight went the distance.

Primus had some early moments of success on the feet, but for the most part Chandler was able to secure takedowns and control his opponent on top for the majority of the fight to ensure he’d emerge with the belt wrapped around his waist.

In the co-main event, Javy Ayala took out Frank Mir, who had been able to take him down and work for submissions in the first round, but eventually seemed to run out of steam.

Ayala took full advantage of that in the second round and managed to cut Mir up with an elbow strike, resulting in blood streaming into his eye, while follow up punches then knocked his mouthpiece out. As more strikes followed, Mir waved his hands in the air to signal he wanted to submit with just 30 seconds of the round remaining.

Earlier, A.J. Mckee extended his unbeaten MMA record to 13-0 with a first round submission victory over Daniel Crawford, while Juliana Velasquez likely booked herself a flyweight title fight with a split decision victory ver Alejandra Lara.
