Scott Coker In Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson Vs Wanderlei Silva Fight

Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson and Wanderlei Silva have a long history together both in the cage and in the ring, and it seems like thei rivalry might not yet be at an end.

Back in February, ‘Rampage’ indicated he was interested in fighting Silva for a fourth time, and ‘The Axe-Murderer’ also signalled he’d be willing to do it too as long as it took place in his native Brazil.

Now Bellator CEO Scott Coker has suggested that the fight could well become a reality later this year.

“That’s something that we’re talking to ‘Rampage’ about and talking to Wanderlei about,” Coker said on ‘The MMA Hour’ show. “I would love to make that fight before the end of the year.”

Hosting the fight in Brazil would be a first for Bellator, but according to Coker it’s far from a deal-breaker.

“We are working on the possibility of executing that fight down there,” Coker confirmed.

The two stars first met at PRIDE Final Conflict 2003 in the final of the Japanese promotion’s middleweight grand-prix, with Silva emerging with a TKO victory due to knee strikes in the first round.

A year later at PRIDE 28 the two clashed again and this time Silva brutally knocked out ‘Rampage’ with a second round knee strike to retain his middleweight title.

Four years later came the trilogy fight at UFC 92 and this time it was Jackson who came out on top courtesy of a first round knockout.
