A number of different promotions step up to the plate during an action-packed couple of weeks in the middle of June so check out the full rundown below to be sure you don’t miss out.
Saturday, June 8th: KSW 23: Khalidov Vs Manhoef
Polish promotion KSW is back with one of their better offerings of late with UFC target Mamed Khalidov looking to extend his winning run to seven fights against the hard-hitting Melvin Manhoef.
Meanwhile, former World’s Strongest Man, Mariusz Pudzianowski is still trying to find his way in the sport, but might find that hard going against former UFC heavyweight Sean McCorkle, and another UFC vet Kendall Grove takes on Michal Materia.
Saturday, June 8th: UFC On Fuel TV 10 – Big Nog Vs Werdum
The first UFC action of the month finds TUF: Brazil season 2 coaches Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Fabricio Werdum battling it out in the main event.
A solid co-main event pits Thiago Silva against former Strikeforce light-heavyweight champion Rafael ‘Feijao’ Cavalcante and the promising Erick Silva will attempt to get back to winning ways against Jason High.
Friday, 14th June: WSOF 3: Fitch Vs Burkman 2
World Series Of Fighting returns for it’s third event in the middle of the month with Jon Fitch’s promotional debut against Josh Burkman – a rematch of the 2006 UFC encounter between them which Fitch won by second round submission.
There’s a theme of former UFC fighters running right through this card with the likes of Jacob Volkmann, Rolles Gracie and John Gunderson Vs Dan Lauzon all featuring on the line-up.
Saturday, 15th June: UFC 161: Henderson Vs Evans
Despite a late change to the main event UFC 161 in Winnipeg, Canada remains a strong card with a light-heavyweight encounter between Dan Henderson and Rashad Evans now on headline duties.
Antonio Rogerio Nogueira Vs Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua serves as your co-main event, while there’s also Pat Barry Vs Shawn Jordan, Jake Shields Vs Tyron Woodley and female encounter featuring Alexis Davis Vs Rosi Sexton.
Wednesday, 19th June: Bellator 96 – Chandler Vs Jansen
Bellator begins it’s summer season this month with some of their biggest stars, including lightweight champion Michael Chandler attempting to defend his title against Season 7 tournament winner Dave Jansen.
Muhammed ‘King Mo’ Lawal also returns to the Bellator cage looking to put his debut loss behind him against Seth Petruzelli, while Renato ‘Babalu’ Sobral will be aiming to do likewise against Jacob Noe.
Wednesday, 19th June: Bellator – Fight Master Reality Show Premiere
That’s not the end of the night’s Bellator action though as they’ve also got the premiere of their new reality show ‘Bellator: Fight Master’ which also airs on Spike TV and stars Randy Couture, Frank Shamrock, Greg Jackson and Joe Warren as the coaches alongside a cast of 32 welterweight fighters.
