Bellator 138: Slice Vs Shamrock Fight Card

Bellator 138’s main event this coming Friday night is something of a freak show attraction that may well draw a crowd, but it’s worth noting there’s actually a decent supporting cast on the Spike TV main card.

The headliner sees the infamous fight that never was between Kimbo Slice and Ken Shamrock finally go down some seven years after their bout at Elite XC fell through at the last minute.

With Kimbo now 41 years-old, a veritable spring chicken compared to the 51 year-old Shamrock, don’t expect to witness the best in MMA skill, technique and stamina here.

In the co-main event however Bellator have a featherweight title fight between current champion Patricio ‘Pitbull’ Freire and season 10 tournament winner Daniel Wiechel.

Former WWE wrestler Bobby Lashley is on a five fight winning streak heading into his next heavyweight encounter with late replacement Dan Charles.

Former lightweight champion Michael Chandler is another notable presence on the main card, and he’ll be hoping for a big performance againste Derek Campos after suffering a troubling three-fight losing streak, albeit all in high-level title fights.

Opening up the Bellator main card is former featherweight champion Daniel Straus who’s coming off an unsuccessful attempt to regain his title and now fights Henry Corrales as he looks to mount a fresh ascent to the summit of the 145lb division.
