In a break from the old routine, this weekend’s UFC Fight Night 38 event in Brazil takes place on a Sunday night.
Headlining the show is a rematch of an instant classic light-heavyweight encounter between Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua and Dan Henderson which took ‘Fight of The Year’ honors in 2011.
‘Hendo’ won on that occasion, but he’s since gone on a three-fight losing streak, while ‘Shogun’s gone 2-2 over the same period, so both men could definitely use a big win here to remind the rest of the division that they are still serious contenders at 205lbs.
The co-main event finds TUF: Brazil Season 1 winner Cezer ‘Mutante’ Ferreira looking to go 4-0 in the UFC against CB Dollaway who’s coming off a split decision loss to Tim Boetsch last time out.
