There’s one more UFC card on the horizon this coming weekend before a two week break, so let’s take a closer look at the UFC Fight Night 73 line-up.
Headlining the show is a light-heavyweight fight between top six contenders Ovince St. Preux (no.6) and Glover Teixiera (No.4), though the rankings don’t give a clear indication of their recent form with OSP coming of back-to-back wins while Teixeira has lost his last two fights.
In the co-main event lightweight No.5 Michael Johnson looks to compile his fifth victory in a row against the talented Iranian Beneil Dariush who’s just outside the division’s top 10 but also has four UFC wins under his belt.
‘Smilin’ Sam Alvey has become something of a knockout machine of late with three first round victories due to strikes, and now he faces another dangerous striker in the shape of Derek Brunson.
Elsewhere on the main card from Nashville there’s heavyweight action as Timothy Johnson fights Jared Rosholt, a middleweight scrap between Chris Camozzi and Tom Watson, plus a flyweight encounter between Ray Borg and Geane Herrera.
