UFC On FOX 12 takes place this Saturday night in San Jose, California, and in a change from the norm, not only will the main card air on ‘big’ FOX, but also four of the preliminary bouts too.
Headlining the show is a welterweight clash between two top contenders Robbie Lawler and Matt Brown, with the winner expected to get the next shot at Johny Hendricks’ title when he returns from injury later this year.
In the co-main event, Anthony ‘Rumble’ Johnson will hope to continue his recent momentum in the light-heavyweight division when he takes on veteran campaigner Antonio Rogerio Nogueira who returns to the Octagon after another lengthy injury layoff.
No.7 ranked featherweight Clay Guida is back in action and he’ll face off against Dennis Bermudez who’ll be hoping that a win over one of the division’s most recognized names will help propel him into the top 10 rankings.
Opening up the main card will be Josh Thomson who was originally supposed to be fighting fellow top 10 lightweight contender Michael Johnson, but will now fight late replacement Bobby Green.
