A fight between Alexis Davis and Sara McMann has been booked for UFC the TUF 24 Finale In Las Vegas on December 3rd.
For Davis, this will be her first fight back in the Octagon since taking a year off to give birth to her son.
Before becoming pregnant the 32 year-old had picked up a big win over Sarah Kaufman at UFC 186 in April of 2015, winning by a second round armbar submission.
That had got the ‘Ally-gator’ back to winning ways after suffering a KO loss in her title shot against Ronda Rousey the previous year, and leaves her with a 4-1 record overall in the UFC since joining in the summer of 2013.
McMann is also a former title contender, and like Davis, the Olympic wrestling silver medalist is coming off a win, having defeated Jessica Eye by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 88 this past May.
That win snapped a two-fight losing streak against Miesha Tate and Amanda Nunes for the 36 year-old, and leaves her stationed at No.7 on the official UFC woman’s bantamweight rankings heading into this fight.
Davis Vs McMann joins a TUF 24 Finale card that’s set to be headlined by flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson, who will take on the winner of this seasons show, while fellow flyweights Joseph Benavidez and Henry Cejudo will hold down the co-main event spot.
