Anthony Pettis Lands Endorsement Deal With Wheaties

UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis has landed himself a high profile endorsement deal with the famous ‘Wheaties’ brand.

Pettis is now officially a member of ‘Team Wheaties’ and could potentially feature on the cover of ‘The Breakfast Of Champions’ cereal.

Other famous stars who’ve been featured by Wheaties in the past include Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Michael Phelps and Shaquille O’Neal, so Pettis is certainly in good company.

The 27 year-old former WEC champion has the potential to be one of the UFC’s most marketable stars inside and outside of the Octagon, but he’s still got a lot of work to do to establish himself as the dominant champion in the always competitive lightweight division.

He’s yet to defend his title after defeating Ben Henderson in August last year due to a series of injury setbacks, and he’ll face a tough test when he does eventually return to face former Strikeforce champion Gilbert Melendez following a stint as a coach on TUF 20 later this year.

For the time being life seems to be going good for ‘Showtime’ though and it’s always good to see more UFC stars getting mainstream sponsorship opportunities.
