Antonio Rogerio Nogueira Vs Ilir Latifi Set For UFC Fight Night 112

A light-heavyweight fight between Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Ilir Latifi has been confirmed for UFC Fight Night 112 in Oklahoma City on June 25th.

Nogueira, who will have turned 41-years-old by the time the fight comes around, has lost three of his last four fights, with a single win over Patrick Cummins being the only bright spot among losses to Anthony Johnson, Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua and most recently Ryan Bader.

That underwhelming run has left Nogueira placed at No.11 in the 205lb divisional rankings, one place behind Latifi.

Coincidentally, Latifi is also coming off a loss to Ryan Bader in his last Octagon outing, bringing an end to a three-fight winning streak in the division that had saw him overcome the likes of Hans Stringer, Sean O’Connell and Gian Villante.

Nogueira Vs Latifi joins a UFC Fight Night 112 card that is yet to secure a headliner, but already has a number of notable fights booked, including BJ Penn Vs Dennis Siver, Johny Hendricks Vs Tim Boetsch and former strawweight champion Carla Esparza Vs Maryna Moroz.

Also, it’s interesting to note that this will be a rare Sunday night card, coming just a day after Bellator’s recently announced pay-per-view card at Madison Square Garden in New York City on June 24th, which will be headlined by Chael Sonnen Vs Wanderlei Silva.
