Injuries depleted the Bellator 119 fight card, but it still led with a featherweight tournament final that was won by Daniel Weichel who wobbled Desmond Green in the second round and then finished the job on the mat with a rear-naked choke.
MMA veteran John Allesio featured in the main event and managed to secure a clean sweep on the judges scorecards against Eric Wisely after comfortably outstriking his opponent over the course of 15 minutes.
Speaking of veterans, Marius Zaromskis managed to snap a two-fight losing streak last night by unleashing his arsenal of kicks against Vaugn Anderson to secure a unanimous decision victory (29-28, 30-27 x2).
In the main card opener, Raphael Butler and Nick Rossborough had to settle for a majority draw (28-27, 28-28 x2) after Butler was deducted a point in the first round for an illegal headbutt after being rocked on the feet and finding himself in danger on the mat. The two heavyweights appeared to expend their energy in that opening round and the fight fizzled out after that.
