Bellator 243 took place last night and we’ve got all the results for you below.
In the main event of the evening there was a rematch between former Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler and Ben Henderson, four years after their first encounter ended in a split decision win for Chandler.
This time the fight concluded much quicker though, with Chandler stepping into a big left hand that connected to Henderson’s jaw and sent him to his knees, before a follow-up punch that landed to the top of the head and left ‘Smooth’ faceplanting onto the canvas for the KO finish just 2.09mins into the opening round.
The co-main event heavyweight clash between Timothy Johnson and Matt Mitrione also concluded swiftly after an unfortunate clash of heads in the first round sent Mitrione to the mat, with Johnson then landing a steady diet of ground and pound. Mitrione struggled to all-fours in an attempt to get back upright, but continued to eat shots, leading to a TKO stoppage at 3.14mins.
