Ray Rodriguez was a last minute replacement tonight at UFC fight Night 176 against Brian Kelleher and his defeat was as swift as his entrance, lasting less than a minute before being tapped out.
Round One:
Leg kick for Rodriguez to start. Now a body kick for him. Rodriguez comes up short on a punch. Inside leg kick for Kelleher but then has to retreat as Rodriguez comes forward looking to counter.
Rodriguez looks for a takedown, but as he brings him down against the cage Kelleher is already locking up the guillotine choke and a few moments later the fight is over as he taps out just 39 seconds into the first round!
Rodriguez’s lack of time to prepare for his opponent showed there as he pretty much ran headfirst into Kelleher’s go-to move and paid the price for it.
