Bryan Battle took the fight to Jevin Jousset tonight at UFC Fight Night 243 and gradually broke his opponent down with accurate punching combinations to deliver a 2nd round TKO finish.

Round One:

Leg kick for Jousset to start. Battle presses the action and lands a couple of good jabs. Now Battle clinches up against the cage and tries for a takedown, but Jousset stuffs that.

Battle goes back to just pressing his opponent up against the cage. Jousset reverses the position but then Battle does the same and is now trying to work for a takedown. He gives up on the single-leg for now and the clinch work continues.

Elbow strike from Jousset in close. Now knees exchanged to the thigh. They break apart. Battle lands the jab.

Calf kick for Jousset. Body kick from Battle. Swiping left hook from Jousset caught Battle. Straight right for Battle and looks for more punches behind it.

Battle back into the clinch against the cage again. Jousset with a throw that almost dumps Battle on his head, but they go straight back up and Battle is still controlling the clinch. Short punches from Jousset as Battle gets the thai clinch.

Now they are just slugging at close range. Nice work from Jousset, but Battle nods and then pieces together a lengthy combination of his own.

Battle continues to press forward late in the round and fires off another series of strikes before the horn sounds.

Round Two:

Leg kick from Jousset after both miss with punches. Nice jab from Battle but then eats a counter from Jousset.

Battle continues to pressure and lands nicely to the body then head. Head kick threatens from Battle. He punches Jousset back to the cage and then clinches up. Battle steps back and looks to land strikes, but eats one from Jousset.

Undeterred Battle continues to stays in close and lands nicely. Jousset bleeding from the nose. Battle clinches and lands a few short punches.

Flying knee from Battle doesn’t pay off. Teep kick from Battle. Jab for Jousset and punches in return from Battle.

Three punches get through for Battle. double-jab and a straight behind it lands for him. More punches connect and he’s finding the mark with regularity now.

Jousset lands again but Battle is clearly getting the better of the striking exchanges here and he starts to turn up the heat with relentless left and rights hooks that leave his opponent on wobbly legs. Battle continues the onslaught against the cage and the ref steps in to wave of the fight, handing Battle a big TKO victory at 3.47mins of the 2nd round.
