Bryan Caraway Given UFC 159’s ‘Submission Of The Night’ Bonus

Bryan Caraway has become the unexpected beneficiary of $65,000 after Pat Healy’s UFC 159 ‘Submission Of The Night’ bonus was rescinded yesterday due to a positive drugs test for marijuana.

Mentioning the decision on Twitter, UFC president Dana White stated that, “Healy did himself dirty.”

Caraway claimed a third round guillotine choke victory over Johnny Bedford in the prelims of the show and due to yesterday’s events that’s now resulted in him being awarded the ‘Submission Of The Night’ bonus.

Coincidently, White had revealed at the post-fight press conference for the event that Caraway was the one who had campaigned to him prior to the fight to raise the bonus money from $50,000 to $65,000 for this event, and it appears that’s now unexpectedly paid off for him.
