Veteran welterweight star Carlos Condit will attempt to get back to winning ways against Mickey Gall at UFC On ESPN 7 on December 7th in Washington D.C.
This may seem like a significant step down in competition for a big name fighter like Condit, but the reality is the 35-year-old is on a five fight losing streak against some of the biggest names in the division like Robbie Lawler, Demian Maia, Neil Magny, Alex Oliveira and most recently Michael Chiesa.
Worse still, ‘The Natural Born Killer’ has registered only two wins in his last 10 Octagon outings.
With that in mind the UFC have now lined him up with Gall, whose biggest wins to date have come against the likes of Sage Northcutt and CM Punk.
The 27-year-old is coming off a win against Salim Touahri last time out though and he’s won two of his last three fights, so he’ll see this as a chance to make a name for himself with a win over an established star.
Condit vs. Gall joins a UFC On ESPN 7 card that will be headlined by heavyweight action as Alistair Overeem fights Walt Harris, while Stefan Struve also returns against Ben Rothwell and Claudia Gadelha faces Cynthia Calvillo.
