Charlie Brenneman Released By The UFC

Charlie Brenneman has revealed that he’s been released from the UFC following his latest loss at ‘UFC On Fuel TV 5’ last weekend.

“Im gone but not forgotten. Ill be bak soon! Thx @ufc @danawhite for the opportunities, and especially to all my loyal fans!!! C u all soon!” Brenneman told his Twitter followers earlier today.

Brenneman had been stopped in just 45 seconds by Kyle Noke in the opening fight of the UK card on Saturday, his second first round defeat in a row after having also been submitted by Erick Silva back in June.

In total Brenneman posted a 4-4 record during a two and a half year spell with the UFC, with his most memorable moment coming when he produced a dominating upset win over Rick Story last year.
