Chase Hooper Submits Jordan Leavitt Via Rear-Naked Choke At UFC Fight Night 232

Chase Hooper came out on top in a back-and-forth ground-battle with Jordan leavitt in the opening round of their fight at UFC Fight Night 232 tonight, leading to a rear-naked choke finish.

Round One:

Hooper with a straight punch and missed punches after it. Leavitt clinches up and takes him down. He’s trying to work to the back, but Hooper transitions on top. Leavitt drives back up and presses Hooper into the cage. They spin around jockeying for position.

They roll back to the mat and Hooper ends up on top. Leavitt with an omaplata to sweep on top in the center of the Octagon. He lands an elbow. Leavitt gets his legs up and is working for an armbar. He goes off to the side and tries to break Leavitt’s grip so he can extend the arm. Leavitt able to escape and stays on top. Hooper trying again for the armbar. Leavitt standing and dumps Hooper on is head.

Relentless action on the mat here. Leavitt postures up and drops down with a punch. Hooper transitions, takes Leavitt’s back and quickly sinks in the rear-naked choke. It’s locked in tight and Leavitt has no option other than to tap out at 2.58mins of the first round.
