Chuck Liddell To Star In New Episode of ‘Bones’

UFC hall-of-famer Chuck Liddell is set to star in a brand new episode of the hit TV show ‘Bones’ on FOX next week.

The former fighter will play himself on the show as a potential suspect in the murder of a high-school principal with terminal cancer.

Liddell becomes a suspect when footage emerges of the teacher punching ‘The Iceman’ in the face.

The 43 year-old is no stranger to acting – in fact his first appearance on screen came long before his MMA career when he played an uncredit role as a boy scout in ‘The Postman Always Rings Twice’ back in 1981.

After reaching superstar status in the UFC many years later, Liddell started to get more acting work, including cameos on shows like ‘Entourage’, ‘Hawaii Five-O’ and ‘Blade – The Series’, not to mention appearing in an episode of ‘The Simpsons’.

Liddell retired from the UFC in 2010 after a three-fight losing streak, but the four-time defending light-heavyweight champion is still considered one of the sports all-time greats.

Over the years I've watched the UFC develop into the powerhouse it is today, organizations like PRIDE, Strikeforce and WEC rise and fall, and Bellator emerge as a new force on the MMA landscape. Throughout it all I've remained captivated by the sport and I'm excited to cover what comes next here on MMA Insight.
