An undisclosed injury to Clay Guida has forced him to pull out of his ‘UFC On FOX 7’ fight with Chad Mendes on April 20th.
The fight, which had been scheduled for the preliminary card was due to have been Guida’s second at featherweight after claiming a split decision win over Hatsu Hioki back in January.
Meanwhile, Mendes, is currently on a two fight winning streak and would have seen this as a fight that could have helped work him back into title contention.
As things stand it’s believed that the UFC are planning to look for an alternative opponent to keep Mendes on the card.
